A History of Quality Technical Training in Cleveland
Kaplan Career Institute was founded in 1980 as Total Technical Institute and was located in North Royalton about 15 miles south of downtown Cleveland. At that time, our primary focus was to train technicians to work on IBM mainframe computers. Since then, we have evolved to keep up with the changing needs of employers in the community. In 2001, we moved about 10 miles north to our current location in Brooklyn, Ohio.
Today, we are part of Kaplan Higher Education Corporation―one of the largest providers of postsecondary education in the United States―and are proud to bear the name Kaplan Career Institute.
